Environmental Policy

At Rhino Shrink Wrap we work to ensure that the development, manufacture, supply and disposal of our shrink-wrap scaffold film is conducted in accordance with sound environmental practices.

We achieve this by:

Minimizing the consumption of natural resources and energy, whilst consuming material goods in moderation.

Reducing the creation of waste by the adoption of improved operating practices. For example, by optimizing the quality of our scaffold shrink wrap film so that a 300-micron film can be used where a 320-micron film would otherwise have been used represents a 7% reduction in the volume of material used.

Ensuring all waste is disposed of in a safe and responsible manner. Waste created during the manufacture of our scaffold shrink-wrap films is reprocessed in the factory for use in less technically demanding applications.

Investing in the development of new products and processes that have an improved performance regarding their impact on the environment.

Training new customers in the correct application of shrink-wrap for scaffolding encapsulation and offering an extensive knowledge base of free resources, including video guides, to our customers. This reduces waste due to incorrect installation and re-works.

Complying with environmental legislation

Rhino Shrink Wrap aims to foster among its staff, suppliers, customers, shareholders and communities local to its operations an understanding of environmental issues in the context of its business. Our collective task is to ensure that we continually improve the environmental impact of our activities.

By this policy Rhino Shrink Wrap recognizes its responsibility towards protection of the environment, and issues this statement as a commitment of both management and employees to minimizing the environmental impact of its operations.
