The Problem

De Krimpers is a boat storage and wrapping business operating out of Middelburg and Lewedorp in the Netherlands, storing and preparing customers' boats for winter lay-up and transport. Like any operator wrapping boats at volume, they needed a reliable source of marine-grade shrink film they could apply themselves, at a specification wide enough to cover typical hull sizes without excessive seaming, and consistent enough in quality that every roll behaves the same way under the heat gun.

The Solution

Rhino supplied De Krimpers with 200 micron Marine/Industrial Shrink Wrap in the Standard Grade specification, at 12m width and 50m roll length. This wide-format roll covers most hull sizes with fewer panel joins than a narrower film would need. The order covered 18 rolls, totalling 10,800m² of film in a single shipment, delivered internationally via TPN to De Krimpers' Lewedorp address.

The film itself was supplied printed with De Krimpers' own logo, so every boat wrapped with it carries their branding for the duration of storage or transport. That detail matters commercially for an operator whose wrapped boats are often visible in yards, on trailers or at boat shows for weeks at a time.

As a self-install customer, De Krimpers apply the film themselves. Rhino's role here is entirely on the specification and supply side: getting the right grade, width and print finish to their door in the volume their operation needs.
